It is not an official Brembo model designation; the actual product is an OEM caliper from specific GM performance vehicles repurposed for upgrades.

Caliper Details
  • Piston Configuration: These are 6-piston calipers, designed to provide substantial stopping power and even pad wear.
  • Origin: The "GTSV" calipers are typically the Genuine GM original front calipers from the second-generation Cadillac CTS-V (2009+) or the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1/Corvette ZR1. They are manufactured by Brembo for GM.
  • Construction: They feature a fixed, opposed-piston design made from cast aluminum.
  • Disc Compatibility: When used as an upgrade on GM vehicles like the Holden Commodore (VT-VZ, VE-VF) or Pontiac G8, they are typically paired with larger 2-piece floating or standard discs around 355mm x 32mm or similar large diameters, a significant increase over most stock GM brakes.
  • Identification: They usually feature the Cadillac "V-Logo" or the Chevrolet "ZL1" logo instead of the standard Brembo logo when purchased as OEM parts. The Brembo logo is sometimes present in small print.
